How could I not!! It's the best concoction of all the most savory ingredients!4**** from this sassy girl!!!!This is book #2 a series, and should be read in order there is no cheating and there is an HEA.This 2nd book starts right after the 1st one. There is practically no gap which I love!! It's great to not have to spend anytime being 'caught up' by the characters. It's also great to have the drama and angst begin...immediately!! And I do mean like right-now-and-in-a-hurry! At 4% my book people! EEP! I just love to get right to the meaty part without all the fuss-although there is something to be said about 'fuss' but that's another review...where were we Oh yes! How Good Intentions is more like GREAT Intentions!We all fell in love with the right-off-the-bat one night stand to lovers relationship between Evan and Mallory. They were like magnets. Well, remember the chickadee he was kissing goodbye at the airport while checking out Mallory Kelly She's back! *sing-song voice* We also know that Mrs. Ashford doesn't approve of Mallory. Well isn't that a 'recipe' for disaster!!! (do you get my ingredient analogy up top now clever huh) Things get crazy!!"Are you happy, Evan You've broken me into a million little worthless pieces, the whole of me lost to the abuse of your charms and good looks.""Don't leave me, Baby! I love you!"Crazy right!! But amazing! *sigh* It's more great artistry from this author who makes you feel the tears and angst between this young couple. The love that we read about in book 1 was still so fresh in my mind and heart. I was somewhat frustrated as I was reading as I wanted them to make amends faster than the book allowed them too! Sort of silly I know. I read so fast I think I finished this book on about 3.5 hours. I did my best to make notes and highlight but I was flipping my Kindle Fire like a maniac. Thank the heavens I was at home alone-aside from my dog who loves me no matter what-I'm sure I was pulling at my hair and screaming at my screen and god knows what else!There is another piece to the puzzle that comes to light in the book and it sheds more light on what made Evan who he is. I was tearful over it for him although it happened in the past. Amazed by his tenacity to move forward and...well I don't want to give too much away-I despise spoilers! Something I LOVE however, is a dual POV!! Yup we are able to get inside that handsome head of Evan's. It's always nice to hear/read what their thinking and feeling at the same time as the heroine! I just love it! This book is raw, full of angst, it was frustrating, made me cry, but it's sweet as sin, romantic as candlelight, and sexy as hell!!! It's art! Their new and vulnerable relationship is put to the test through distance.I enjoyed the intensity of this love story when you take away the palm trees and the surf. Reality wages conflict with the heart and it makes for a great angst filled story.Scott does a great job of building on the characters and the story.
