I was truly satisfied with the end of The Edge of Never but am glad that J.A. Redmerski gave us more Andrew and Camryn.This sequel is clearly Andrew's story although there are alternating POV's throughtout. I loved getting more of their story even though they are dealt some more heartbreak.But in the end this is the story of a beautiful, almost perfect love. Andrew Parrish has remained one of my top 5 bbf's for a reason. He lets Camryn be Camryn. No matter what, he is by her side and supports her 100%. And it's never a sappy kind of devotion. It's the kind of devotion that lasts a lifetime, that makes you know that this will be the couple that lives to their 80's or beyond and die within hours of each other because they simply cannot live without each other.I really enjoyed getting an update about Natalie and Aidan and Asher and getting that glimpse into the future seeing how they all continue their lives.Andrew and Camyrn's road trip was yet another great journey and I'm so glad to have been able to read about it.I cannot recommend this book enough. It was the perfect continuation of a love just so incredible.I adored it.13 of 14 people found the following review helpful.Its not the Edge of Never, 3.5 starsBy AprilIm having a hard time with what to rate this book although it wasn't horrible it wasn't great either. I wish we could do half stars on our rating, I would give this a 3.5. First off I love Andrew and Camryn for that reason alone I would give it high marks. However this book fell flat for me especially with the anticipation of it. It started off really slow and I was hoping it would pick up. It seemed like it was headed that way then it just sort of droned on and on. Also the road trips was just long and boring except for one really bad incident. Which I just thought was not really needed. There were definitely some memorable parts and great interactions between Andrew and Camryn, and Andrew was as yummy as always. I really wished it was a little steamier and just had more of something.... Small ****spoiler alert**** I also did not find the whole having to live free and on the move all the time very realistic. I love that they are both free spirits but it drove me crazy that they kept alluding to the fact that those who make a home in one spot have something wrong with them and are destined for unhappiness. Ultimately the book was more about Camryn and her feelings and what she was/is going through. I love Andrew and I love the way he loves Camryn and wants to give her the world, but it was like he never got to grieve over the miscarriage or even reflect on the fact that he almost died.3 of 3 people found the following review helpful.Classic Love StoryBy LynneI really don't remember what turned me onto the 1st book of the series, "The Edge of Always". The synopsis of that book didn't do it justice. I was utterly blown away by how beautifully and tragically the story unfolded. I honestly thought I was reading my first 'death' book so to speak. Where one of the main characters would die unexpectedly and you are left completely broken for a few days. Luckily for me, I was given a reprieve when Andrew and Cam got their second chance. I truly didn't expect their to be a second book so after all these months we got it. It's here! And can I say, this book and their story will stay with me for a long time to come."Always" picks up a few months after where "Never" ended. Andrew and Camryn are engaged and set to be parents. They are settled down in Texas and anticipating the arrival of their baby girl within the next few months. Fear and anxiety has gotten a hold of Camryn, more so then Andrew, with the idea of being a mom and wife. Will her and Andrew be able to live freely and enjoy the possible gifts life has to offer Unfortunately, tragedy strikes leaving them grieving and trying to support one another in their own way. Camryn, even though she says she fine, keeps it all bottled up inside and starts abusing prescription drugs to numb the pain and desperation that has gripped her and doesn't seem to want to let go. After finding Camryn completely unresponsive after taking one too many of the pills, Andrew realizes staying in one place is going to do neither one of them any good. One day he sets it all up to where they are back out on the road. Where it all began for them. Trying to find the strength and solace to move on in life and start anew.Andrew and Camryn are in my top 10 favorite book couple list. Their relationship has always been a sign of two people just getting up and just going about life not worrying or caring about anything in the world. They truly are modern day hippies. I'm glad the author didn't try to up the angst level with this book. It just wasn't needed and honestly doesn't work for them. There are book couples that need the angst, the drama and the arguments and that fits them. These two don't need that in the least to be one of my favorites. It just doesn't work and doesn't make sense. There were a couple of angles in the story that the author could of taken it, but she didn't. With Cam and Andrew these are two people that don't need to dwell on any issues that come their way. They look at whatever is wrong and deal with it until they are able to pick up and carry on. They stand together as a united front and won't let anything try to break them. That's what I love about them. I think I am in love with Andrew more in this book than "Never". He was such strong character in this book. A lot of men wouldn't know what to do with their girlfriends or wives if faced with such a tragedy. Andrew just knew what would bring Cam back. Men like that are truly hard to find and stop at nothing to make their women whole again. I love that man.J.A. can do no wrong in my book when it comes to her characters, especially Andrew and Cam. Thank you for ending their story the way I envisioned it would be and for giving them that second chance. Out of 5 i'm giving this one a 5++++. Just beautiful.See all 721 customer reviews...
